Crofters Cottage is the perfect place to stay on Isle of Mull. Well located - can walk into the centre of Tobermory 10 mins (although it is15 mins back up the hill but don't blame the cottage) - dear little cottage with 2 beds, 2 bathrooms and everything you could possibly need for a week's stay - kitchen is beautifully appointed in oak and has full stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, slow cooker, grillers, TV (plus TV's in the bedroom too) - a gorgeous little spot with outdoor furniture by the front door for a glass of wine in the afternoon. Only one other cottage nearby but great privacy. The final tick really comfortable beds and a great welcome from John and Hilda including a bottle of wine and biscuits. Oh also - a GOOD supply of toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, soap etc - so nice.
Sunshine_720  Spacious and well renovated property

We stayed with 2 kids ( 11 & 9 years old) & loved it! We really appreciated the log burning fire, spacious layout, comfortable & firm beds & beautiful clean, cotton sheets. We found the cottage had everything we needed - as well as the wine & biscuits too! It was was a great location - quiet but easy to get to Tobermory. We hope & look forward to a return visit soon. Mull was fantastic & we really enjoyed coming back to the cottage after a busy day out. I rarely write reviews but this deserved a mention. Thank you.

A conveniently located cottage with outlook over the bay. Very clean. Peaceful but only a short walk to the Main Street in Tobermory. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Darach Beag has a lovely sea view from the sitting room, and was ideal for the 2 of us. Garden is nice and we were able to have supper outside on several nights

Had a lovely week's holiday and fallen in love with the isle of Mull so much we will be back. So much to do. Darach Beag was ideally located for Tobermory with loads of space and a real homely feel. Communication with hosts was barely needed but responsive when I was anxious about gaining access.

Beautiful scenery and Tobermory and it harbour is very picturesque with lovely shops to peruse local handicrafts and places to eat or just sit with coffee and look out across the bay . The coop is excellent if you are self catering with good quality products and ample choice and the smoke house is definitely worth a visit , up the hill out of the town for fresh fish, recommend the langoustines and trout pate. They also stock local meat products and the handreared pork and venison were excellent . The bungalow is lovely and in a quiet setting above Tobermory with well maintained gardens to three sides, the largest is hedged and there is furniture to sit outside in the form of benches. The house , bed linen and towels are lovely and clean and the kitchen and utility provide all self catering requirements for a family holiday. The lounge, which is bright warm and welcoming, has a view through the neighbouring properties grounds of the bay , which is stunning, being able to see passing sea traffic and the furniture comfortable and welcoming at the end of the day, home from home . We had a wonderful holiday seeing places we had been in the past and discovering new . Mull is a truly beautiful island the scenery beaches and encounters with wildlife are breathtaking , there is always something new to experience . This leaves you relaxed and eager to return. The house is a good base to explore from. The only things that I feel need to be pointed out is the actual geography of the bungalow , it is set on a hill overlooking the bay so the views are wonderful, but there is a very steep path out of the property passing other houses, down a very steep hill off the main street in Tobermory, which also means coming back up! , and also to negotiate entry and exits of the property there are some steep steps with rails which would cause anyone who has mobility issues concern and care would be needed with a small child. However I would definitely recommend the bungalow and Tobermory as a good base for a holiday.

Located just beyond the Western Isles hotel, this cottage (well, bungalow) is only a five minute walk down to the shops of Tobermory. It has a fantastic view down the Sound from the living room window. As a family of four it had more than enough room - all the bedrooms are spacious, the living space is excellent and there is a good sized garden. It is one of the cleanest, well-stocked cottages we have ever stayed in. The kitchen cupboards are full of useful stuff (all spotless), there are toys for kids, dvds etc. The decor is not exactly modern -although the white goods etc have been updated, the bathroom suite is peach! - but then it would probably cost a lot more if it had all been re-fitted so I am not really complaining. Things we would recommend for those with short legs include - the lighthouse walk at the bottom of the memorial steps, Aros park, Mull aquarium, the beach at Aros Main and, the swimming pool. We also loved visiting Ulva. For food we would recommend the Tobermory Bakery, Galleon Grill and the tearoom at Duart Castle.

We had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Darach Beag. The cottage is in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk from Tobermory waterfront. It was very well stocked and had everything we could possibly want or need for our stay. I will say that the decor and furniture in the property is a little dated which may put some people off. Also there were a few delicate looking ornaments in some of the rooms which are not ideal if there are children staying. Other than these minor points I could not fault the cottage in any way. We were very impressed with the Wi-Fi speed and the good selection of children's toys and DVDs. The kitchen had everything we needed and even the bathrooms had shower gel and hand soap.
