More information for Number 10

The oldest part of the cottage was built as a ‘But and Ben’ around 1800 and is one of the oldest properties in the village.  An extension added in 1980 added a kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms.  ‘Number 10’ has recently been renovated and now offers that home from home feeling.  The cottage is well equipped and regardless of the weather (this is the west coast of Scotland after all) you will find the cottage warm and welcoming all year round.   The back of the property opens into an enclosed walled garden, giving privacy and unrestricted views of the Firth of Lorn across to Mull.
The short, regular ferry crossing allows you the island holiday experience with access to all that the local area offers with many local towns within a reasonable distance for day trips.
There is one local shop and Post Office on the island which is well stocked, but we would always recommend coming prepared with provisions.  The local
Atlantic Island Centre <>, which is a stone’s throw from the front door, offers a changing local history exhibition, art displays and licensed café offering lunches, teas and coffees and evening meals at the weekend.
