The cottage is right next to the shore and the views of the islands in the Bunessan sound were fantastic. We enjoyed lots of gorgeous sunsets sitting outside on the grass. We also took our kayak and were able to access the sea at high tide only a few metres away. The cottage was lovely, clean and well equipped for our stay. The owner was very kind and friendly. The loft room is up a wooden ladder. The room is a good sized double and the head room up there was fine for me but I'm only 5ft 2"! Bunessan is a great location to go to Fionnphort for the ferry to Iona and to Erraid. Amazing beaches at Knockvologan, Uisken and Ardalanish. Calgary Bay and Tobermory were 2hrs and 1.5hrs drive away.

The location was ideal for easy access to Iona, stunning beaches, Staffa tours, amazing wildlife and beautiful sunsets. The cottage was spotless; had everything you needed; and was comfortable for a family of 4 + dog. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

A beautifully located little cottage on the edge of the quaint village of Bunessan, a perfect little hideaway for my wife and I. Very well maintained and with all the facilities you would ever need for a quiet week or two, with a magnificent view out of the kitchen windows, with views on a good day stretching as far as "The Dutchman's Cap" (The island of Bac Mòr). A warm and friendly welcome from Margaret, the owner and her husband, making us feel most welcome. My wife and I book cottage holidays every year and so far this is the best we have found in the last decade or so. Very highly recommended.
