What a great week we had, staying in this lovely, homely, very well equiped cottage. Having explored the north of the island last year. Rhumhor was the perfect base in which to explore the Ross of Mull. The cottage overlooks the lovely bay at Bunnessan, and the village is just a few minutes walk away. The owner Margaret lives next door, and was a great host. Really enjoyed our week here.

Great location enabling us to visit Iona and walk out the door to find fossils! Everything we needed in the cottage and more!

A few minutes walk from the shop and facilities of Bunessan and 5 mins from Fionnphort . Upstairs bedroom quite low ceiling but great for the kids . Hostess wonderful and so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble , very clean and comfortable beds . Fresh eggs and biscuits on arrival too !

We had a lovely holiday at Rhumhor on the wonderful Isle of Mull. The cottage was very comfortable with everything that we needed for a great stay. Margaret was very helpful. We were really close to Iona and paid many visits to that beautiful island as well as a memorable trip to Staffa. We saw lots of wildlife during our week and would thoroughly recommend the cottage.

The first time we have stayed on the Ross of Mull, and we couldn't have picked a better location 😁 cottage lovely and well equipped, stunning views on the doorstep, as well as deer! We also loved the Ross, stunning beaches, good fishing spots close by, and easy walks for the ambler rather than rambler lol....close to Iona as well. Good food at the kreel row in fionnphort as well Would highly recommend Rhumhor.....great hosts and great communication too 😁

If you like a comfortable home from which to explore the Ross of Mull, you will love this cottage. We restricted ourselves to local walks to learn about the history and see the abundant wildlife. The History Centre in the village is well worth a visit if you have an interest in the social history of the area. A day trip to Iona is very rewarding even if, like us, you are not religious. The Argyll Arms is a very pleasant 10 minute stroll away around the little bay, and the food there is outstanding. The grocery shop in the village stocks everything you need and the service is very friendly. The cottage is exactly as described in the website and has a lovely view over the sea, with glorious sunsets. Our host Margaret is very welcoming and could not be more helpful.

Our stay at Rhumhor Cottage was very good. The cottage was clean warm and comfortable and we found everything we needed. Margaret was friendly and helpful. If we wished to visit the Ross again we would happily return to Rhumhor.

A very warm welcome from Margaret with eggs and shortbread (the nicest I've tasted, ever) left by Margaret. Lovely cottage with everything you could ever need. Warm and comfortable, a real home from home. Margaret was happy to help with suggestions about where to see the wildlife I was hoping to see (and her suggestions were perfectly correct). A perfect base from which to visit anywhere on the island, especially the Ross of Mull area. The views from the cottage and the wildlife nearby were stunning. Every morning there were seals on the rocks in the little bay by the house and red deer came down from the hills to eat the grass opposite the cottage. I'd love to stay there again.

This cottage is everything we could have wanted or needed for our stay. The location is beautiful. Everything we could have needed is available in the cottage. It is close to shops and there is a hotel with a non-residents bar within walking distance. It is easy enough to drive from Bunessan to other parts of the island. It is easy to get to the ferry terminal for a trip to Iona. While I didn't go for long walks in he locality, members of our party did and it was a superb place to stay for this purpose. Beaches were close by either by car or by car and then a walk. For me the only downside with Mull is the lack of public transport on the island. I would recommend it without hesitation

What a lovely place to stay. The house was clean comfortable and well equipped with amazing views to "wash up" to. Our host was so friendly & welcoming & very helpful...the sort of person you would love as a neighbour. Bunessan is a fabulous area with so much to explore not too far away...but also just perfect if you just wanted to leave the car parked up and chill. Would I recommend this spot to a friend? The answer would have to be No...I would be tempted to keep this gem to myself.

What a lovely cottage, just the right size for us and a pug. What a great late evening welcome from Margaret, and to find fresh eggs and delicious biscuits, just topped the end of a long journey to Mull. Rhumhor Cottage is just minutes walk from the village, quiet enough to spot an otter in the small bay, to see buzzards and herons. Close too to the Blackbird Bistro (you MUST book!). Will we back ? We certainly hope so.
