Centrally situated in the village of Lochdon, The Smiddy was built in 1860 and is adjacent to Old Mill Cottage. There is a large spacious sitting room and dining room and the modern well equipped kitchen overlooks the Croft and hills to the rear of the cottage. The sitting room has a wood burning stove, easy to operate. Plenty of logs are provided and more may be bought on site. The Loch is a wealth of wildlife, both in summer and winter. We see the White tail eagles flying above and across the Loch you will find Hen harriers, short eared owls and a range of wild fowl on the Loch.
