Lyndale is a detached bungalow on Western Road, a quiet and tranquil part of Tobermory. It is five minutes away from Tobermory’s renowned Main Street. The elevated position treats guests to breathtaking views over Tobermory Bay and the Sound of Mull to Morvern.
The cottage is warm, spacious and well equipped. The owners are frequent visitors and they have furnished the property to a high standard with oak furniture and high-quality fittings. They are justifiably proud of it and gain pleasure from sharing it with their guests. Early booking is essential as their many returning and new guests fill all available nights well in advance.
Conveniently located, there is a children’s playground and public tennis courts less than 100 yards away. Golf and walking enthusiasts will find Tobermory Golf Course, acclaimed as one of Scotland’s most scenic, situated just 5 minutes from Lyndale’s doorstep.
Lyndale has unlimited WiFi with speeds of up to 70 Mbps.
Facilities
Location: Lyndale is a 5-minute walk from Tobermory Bay, pubs, restaurants and shops. The property has spectacular views over the bay, Calve Island, Aros Park, the mountains of Mull, the Sound of Mull and Morvern on the mainland.
Garden: There are fenced gardens to all four sides of the bungalow with well-established shrubs and lawns. Patio area with a large oak table and seating for 6. Washing line & outdoor tap. The West side of the garden borders farmland which is used to graze sheep. Private driveway with parking for 2 cars.
Heating: Lyndale is heated by an air-source heat pump and radiators. This keeps it warm and cosy and provides plenty of hot water. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge. A basket of logs is provided with more available at a modest cost. The bungalow is double glazed throughout. Electricity is included in the rate.
Kitchen: Large electric range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, cafetieres, toaster, air fryer. The owners enjoy cooking and the kitchen is equipped to a high standard with everything that you will need.
Lounge: The large lounge has a 50” Smart TV and powerful soundbar system, large oak dining table & 6 chairs, 2 large sofas, 2 easy chairs, 2 sideboards, footstools, nest of tables, 3 radiators, wood burning stove, table lamps and standard lamps, 3 large windows with magnificent views. The Lyndale webcam shows a live view from the lounge window (browse to http://81.174.243.180:8001/ User-Admin, Password-Tobermory).
Master Bedroom: King size bed, bedside tables, bedside lamps, wardrobe, dressing table. A large window with a low cill provides great views with your morning cup of tea.
Bedroom 2: Two single beds, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, bedside lamp, chair, standard lamp.
Bedroom 3: Single bed and second pull-out bed, wardrobe, stool, bedside table, bedside lamp. This is the smallest bedroom and the pull-out bed is only suitable for children or friendly adults.
Bathrooms: The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC, washbasin and large heated towel rail. The house bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, WC, washbasin and large heated towel rail.
Basement: Washing machine & tumble dryer, sink, log store, storage for bicycles, boots etc.
EV Charging: Lyndale has a 7kW EV charger with type 1 and type 2 connectors. This facility is available to guests on request in advance of your stay. The cost of charging is 40p/kWh (the public charger in Tobermory costs 70p). Consumption is metered and we will bill you for usage at the end of your stay. Charging is available for 8 hours a day – 0400 to 0700, 1300 to 1600 and 2200 to midnight. The charger will automatically provide power between these times.
Pets: Pets are not allowed at Lyndale. The property is not “dog free” as the owner’s dog is a regular visitor.

Under The Scottish Short Term Licence infants and babies are included in the maximum occupancy number of 6.
