Perfect location for our visits to Iona and Staffa. Gillian’s house is exactly as you see in the photos and very cosy for our trip in September, the big south facing patio doors captured the sun and heated the whole house so we never needed any heating.
It’s a nice space to just relax and do nothing.
Having a loo each seemed funny at first but it’s funny how we quickly formed a hisnhers habit.
All in all a great place to get away for peace and quiet
I had a great time in Gilians home, and watched some incredible sunrises, a warm and comfortable home perfectly suited for exploring the south westerly parts of Mull. Great location for Iona and easy enough drive to Ben More and beyond to Tobermory and Ulva if you have the time.
As others have said, although more sparse on provisions than other hosts, the home was a great place to stay once stocked up at the local shop. I was grateful to have heeded the advice of other reviewers, and would recommend to others visiting a supermarket in Oban for groceries before arriving - I slightly regretted not doing so.
Fionnphort is a great wee place to be near. It is ideal for hopping over to Iona.
Ardfin cottage was very cosy and comfortable.
I would recommend a stay here.
We had very peaceful visit and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and wildlife everywhere. I would definitely return here if circumstances permitted.

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location! We loved our stay in Fionnphort for 4 days. From the location you can easily plan a trip to Iona, take nice walks or just like we did a round trip Mull. Recommended!
