April 2023    Alan

We had a wonderful week at Lephin Cottage on the beautiful Glengorm estate. We were so lucky to arrive in lambing season and much of the highlight of the holiday was the lambs being born every day in the surrounding fields.
The Cottage is newly refurbished to an extremely high standard and is very well equipped. The views out of every window are picture postcard. From the Cottage you can walk the Glengorm estate (dogs on lead) up to the Castle and explore the standing stones and Dun Ara Castle. The North Coast of the island is dramatic with views to Coll and even Skye on a clear day. We had lunch in the nearby cafe and the food was great. For dog walks, the nearby Ardmore forest and Ardmore shore were great leg stretchers away from grazing animals.
As for Mull. Spectacular. Wildlife in abundance, we seen 6 eagles across the week. Iona and Calgary Bay are a must see for beaches. We will definitely return – we absolutely loved it.

The house is perfectly situated. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has everything you could need for a quiet get away. About 15minutes form Tobermory it is perfect for seeing the island.

This is truly an exceptional luxury place to stay in a stunning location. We were fortunate enough to spend Christmas 2022 in Lephin and did not want to leave. The house appears to have been recently renovated to a very high standard and it is actually nicer than the photos and the living areas, bathroom and bedrooms are all very well presented. The heating is very modern and reliable and there is a wood fire that is great. The kitchen has to be one of the best equipped of any AirBNB I have stayed in but make sure you bring your own tea and coffee etc as that isn’t provided. If you are looking for a place to have a break and get away from it all, I highly recommend this place, the neighbours are literally sheep and highland cows and there are lovely walks nearby. While we stayed as a couple, this place would be perfect for a family or groups of friends. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us!
