Kittiwake is the perfect camping hut to unwind from the world, nestled within Calgary Art in Nature with stunning views of Calgary Bay. It is the perfect location to switch off from technology and stoke up the fire; you’ll be able to relax beneath the sounds of the trees, birds, and nature around you.
The wooden hut has a double bed, dining table for 2, sofa, and a small kitchen area to prep and cook food. There is also an outside decking to enjoy the view of Calgary Bay during the summer nights. Although the building itself doesn’t have electricity or plumbing, there is an eco-toilet attached to it, solar lights, and a stove for heat, as well as a private shower and toilet facility 5 minutes from Kittiwake.
Location: 1/2 mile from beach – 5 miles to the shop and bar in Dervaig village – stunning views of Calgary Bay
Garden: Located in Calgary Sculpture Walk, guests have access to the whole walk – small partially fenced area at front with views of Calgary Bay – decking area – barbecue – outside furniture – parking for 1 car 5 minutes walk away
Heating: No electricity – log burner – logs provided
Kitchen: camping stove – camping kettle – saucepans – dishes – cafetiere – mugs – small glasses – cooking utensils – cutlery – ice box with freezer blocks – 5 lite drinking water
Lounge: sofa – books & games – log burner – NO TV – NO WIFI
Bedroom: 1 x double bed – storage space
Bathroom: 1 x ecotoilet attached to building but with separate entrance – private shower room and toilet (occasionally used by staff) at car park 5 minutes walk away (to be ready early June)
Additional information: Linen provided – towels provided – no dogs allowed – wheelbarrow provided to transport luggage
